MADAMS' TOUCH (Tocco di Dama)

During the months of January and February the Palazzo Madama Museum of Turin celebrates two important royal women in history: Christine of France and Giovanna Battista de Savoy Nemours by an exhibition titled 'ROYAL MADAMS, CULTURE AND POWER FROM PARIS TO TURIN '.

We invite you to visit our main town: Turin,  which during that period will tribute an homage to their lives and will create the atmosphere of their royal court.

For this occasion guided tours with different topics are available to learn more specifically these two women who brought to the Savoy kingdom, of which Turin was its capital, knowledge and wisdom in all aspects.

Arts will be performed in the city and we submit to your attention the event 'Madams' touch' (Tocco di dama in Italian) that will take place in these dates:

27th of January, 

8th and 17th of February 

of which the video below is a sample. Music, voice and dance will be combined to give expression to the ancient atmosphere lived in the palace in which Christine and Giovanna lived, by the dancer and choreographer Elena Ajani, the countertenor and coordinator Danilo Pastore, and the musician Juan Jose Francione. It'a a special and unique performance that will last in your memory.

The Madams' Palace, Palazzo Madama, will be the central pivot of the total event which will expand all around the residence. Through guided visits you'll appreciate paintings, statues, furnitures, and other treasures as well as the history of these two eclectic and emblematic royal women.
